TUCSON, Ariz. - Junior Nakarintra Ratanakul posted a one-under 215 to tie for fifth at the National Invitational, leading the Purdue men's golf team to an 11th-place finish with a team total of 884.
Playing in the No. 2 position, Ratanakul rebounded from an opening-round 76 to post a 68 (-4) in the second round and wrap up the tournament with a 71 (-1) to finish just five shots off the pace.
Fellow junior Erich Johnston earned a share of 24th place with a four-over total of 220, while sophomore Tyler Duncan carded a 221 (+5) to record a tie for 32nd place. Sophomore William Sjaichudin and junior David Gersztein rounded out the Purdue lineup in ties for 66th and 76th place, respectively, with total of 231 and 236.
The Boilermakers will be idle until April 9, when they open the Wolfpack Invitational in Raleigh, N.C.
