Sunday results (second round suspended)
GLENCOE, Ill. - With second-round play suspended due to darkness at the Windon Memorial Classic, the Purdue men's golf team finished Sunday's action in seventh place.
The Boilermakers carded a total of 300 (+16) in the opening round at Skokie Country Club before play was halted with each member of the Purdue lineup still needing to complete at least two holes to finish the second round.
Play will resume with a shotgun start at 9:30 a.m. ET on Monday, with the final round to be held immediately following the completion of the second.
After shooting a five-over 76 in the first round, junior Nakarintra Ratanakul was two strokes under par with four left to play in the second round when play was suspended for the night. The Bangkok, Thailand, will be three strokes over par for the tournament when play picks up on Monday morning, good for a share of fifth place.
Juniors Maximo Kopp and Erich Johnston finished the first day of play in a tie for 31st, both eight over par for the tournament. Kopp was two over par through 15 holes in the second round when play was called off on Sunday, while Johnston was four over through 14 at the time of suspension after posting a 75 (+4) in the first round.
Sophomore William Sjaichudin fired a two-over 73 in the first round, but stood at seven over par through 16 holes in the second round to head into the clubhouse in a tie for 41st place. Classmate Tyler Duncan was also seven strokes above even with two holes left to play in the second round when his day was cut short, and will open Monday's action in a 58th-place tie.
