Purdue Tops Wisconsin 66-49

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. - Purdue had three players reach double-figure scoring en route to a 66-49 win over Wisconsin on Sunday. Junior Jodi Howell led the Boilermakers, finishing with 15 points, all on three-pointers.

Wisconsin took an early lead, opening the game on a 6-0 run before Purdue rallied back to take a six point advantage into locker room at halftime. In the second half, Purdue outscored Wisconsin 36-25 on 46 percent second-half shooting, including going 4 of 8 from beyond the arc.

Howell shot a perfect 5 for 5 from three-point land, tying a season high for three-pointers made.

Freshman Brittany Rayburn set a career high in rebounds, pulling down seven boards. Rayburn added 13 points, three assists and one steal.

Senior Lakisha Freeman was the third Boilermaker to reach double-digits. She contributed 12 points, two assists and one steal.

In her second game back from injury, FahKara Malone scored five points and added six assists and two steals off the bench.

Natasha Bogdanova earned the first start of the season and finished with eight points, one assist and one steal. Danielle Campbell pulled down 11 rebounds and scored six points.

Purdue will be back in action on Thursday, Feb. 12 when they travel to Minnesota to take on the Golden Gophers. Tip-off is scheduled for 9 p.m. Eastern and the game will be aired on the Big Ten Network.
