WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. - The 23rd-ranked Purdue women's basketball team put together a 15-0 second-half run to beat the Ohio Girls Basketball Report Legends 68-50 in an exhibition game Sunday. The victory marks Purdue's 29th straight win in a preseason exhibition contest.

The Boilermakers trailed by two points at the half, 27-25, after shooting just 28 percent from the field. With just under 14 minutes to go in the game, the Boilermakers were behind 40-37, but a three-pointer by FahKara Malone sparked a 15-0 run that gave Purdue the lead for good. The Boilermakers improved their shooting accuracy in the second half, hitting 53.3 percent for the period and 41.8 percent for the game.

Senior Danielle Campbell led the Boilermakers in scoring, tying a career-high with 20 points. Campbell was two-for-two from three-point range, having only made one career three-pointer coming into the game. She also contributed six rebounds, two assists and a block.

Senior Lindsay Wisdom-Hylton was in impressive in her first game back from an ACL injury that caused her to miss the 2007-08 season. She recorded a double-double, scoring 15 points and pulling down 10 boards. Wisdom-Hylton tied teammate Campbell with four offensive rebounds. She also dished out two assists, had two steals and a block while shooting 50 percent from the floor.

Also making her first start since 2007 was junior Jodi Howell, who recorded the first points of the second half by sinking her first of two three-pointers. Howell finished with six points and a steal.

Newcomers Brittany Rayburn and Chantel Poston also got into action Sunday. Poston led all freshmen with four points and two steals, while Rayburn scored her first basket after converting a steal into a layup midway through the second half.

The win was coach Sharon Versyp's fourth preseason exhibition game win, giving Purdue a 34-3 record in exhibition games.

The Boilermakers will tip-off their regular season next Sunday, Nov. 16 against IUPUI at 2 p.m. in Mackey Arena.
