Purdue Invitational: Day One Results

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. - The Boilermaker women's tennis team got off to a great start today at their own Purdue Invitational. Coach Laura Glitz's squad came up with four singles wins and three doubles victories during the first day of competition.
Stephanie Wooten, Jennifer Rabot, Remi Martin and Anna Dushkina were all winners in singles play.
Wooten rolled, 6-2, 6-2. Rabot played a hard fought first set, before settling in for a 7-6 (3), 6-2 win. Martin dominated, 6-1, 6-0. Dushkina was steady in a 6-4, 6-1 victory.
Joanna Craven and Tatiana Ganzha got things started in doubles action with an easy 8-1 win. Martin and Rabot were next off, taking their match 8-2. Wooten and Sammons finished things off with an 8-3 victory.
Day two of competition starts at 9 a.m. ET tomorrow at the Schwartz Tennis Center. Purdue takes the courts at 12:30 p.m. ET.
