COLLEGE STATION, Texas - The No. 15 Purdue men's swimming and diving team remains in third place at the Art Adamson Invitational with 438 points through two days. No. 2 Stanford leads with 1049 points, while No. 16 LSU is second with a 543 tally.
David Boudia once again won in 3-meter diving. His score of 432.80 gave him his second victory in two days. David Colturi finished seventh, after coming in at 344.85.
The medley relay team of Tim Watts, Aaron Koger, Andrew Langenfeld and John Schmitt came through for the second straight day, as well, this time picking up fifth in the 200. They clocked in at 1:29.36.
The team of Chris Pfaff, Albert Miller, Jimmy Brooks and Brendan Joyce posted a very respectable ninth-place in the 200 medley relay, coming in at 1:32.73.
Andre Koop and Matt Stewart finished 12th and 13th, respectively, in the 400 IM. Koop swam to a time of 4:00.19, while Stewart was right behind him at 4:00.86.
The Boilermakers also performed well in the 100 fly. Langenfeld came in fifth with a time of 47.62, while Joyce was 10th at 49.59.
Schmitt was the first non-Stanford swimmer to finish in the 200 free. His time of 1:38.49 was good for an 11th place finish.
Koger was up next in the 100 breast, finishing fifth at 55.06. Miller also had a nice showing in the 100, racking up 12th with a time of 57.06.
Pfaff and Dan Jung ended the evening with pair of solid finishes in the 100 back. Pfaff came in at 52.05 for 14th place, while Jung was right behind him in 15th at 52.29.
The action begins tomorrow morning at the Art Adamson Invitational with prelim heats at 10:30 a.m. ET. Finals start at 5:30 p.m., with live results provided on purduesports.com.
