Hoosier Invite: Final Results Get Acrobat Reader

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - The Purdue women's tennis team won seven singles matches on the final day of competition at the Hoosier Classic. Two players won matches that were stretched to three sets.

Freshman Remi Martin earned a hard fought victory over Valeryia Makarycheva (MSU) in a long third set tiebreaker 2-6, 6-2, 1-0 (17-15). Freshman Anya Dushkina beat Andrea Straznicka (KSU) 3-6, 6-4, 1-0 (11-9).

Winners in straight sets were sophomore Joanna Craven, junior Michelle Sammons, redshirt junior Tatiana Ganzha and freshmen Jennifer Rabot and Kay Kay Magi. Craven defeated Radka Ferancova (MSU) 6-3, 6-3. Sammons took out Antea Huljev (KSU) 6-3, 6-4. Ganzha steamrolled Elizabeth Hall (MSU) 6-0, 6-1. Rabot edged out Mariya Sulpska (KSU) 6-4, 7-6 (6). Magi defeated Jordan Zachary (MSU) 6-2, 6-3.

There were no doubles matches for the day.

The Boilermakers are back in action from Oct. 11-13 at the Women's College Tennis Invitational in Flushing, N.Y.
