Hoosier Classic: Day Two Doubles Results Get Acrobat Reader

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - The Purdue women's tennis team picked up four more singles victories and displayed some impressive doubles play during the second day of action at the Hoosier Classic.

In singles action, redshirt junior Tatiana Ganzha, junior Michelle Sammons and freshmen Anya Dushkina and Jennifer Rabot were all winners.

Ganzha shut down Jordan Zachary(MSU) 6-0, 6-0. Sammons earned a hard fought victory over Radka Ferancova (MSU) 6-2, 1-6, 1-0 (10-6). Dushkina defeated Natasha Vieira (KSU) 6-2, 6-2. Rabot beat Valeriia Petrovych (ISU) 6-3, 6-2.

In doubles play, Sammons and senior Stephanie Wooten won the Crimson Draw. The pair defeated Fischer and Zapadalova (IU) 8-4 in the semifinals and Sopel and Stuckey (IU) 8-6 in the finals.

In the cream draw, sophomore Joanna Craven and Rabot picked up an 8-1 victory over Meghoufel and Lifanova (ISU) 8-1.
