Indianapolis - Purdue sophomore FahKara Malone was determined to not let the Boilermakers' Big Ten Tournament title hopes end in the quarterfinals. The 5-foot-3 point guard scored a career-high 26 points and eight steals in No. 3 seed Purdue's 64-54 win over No. 6 seed Indiana on Friday in Indianapolis.

The Boilermakers trailed by one at halftime, 27-26, in a game that saw 10 ties and 15 lead changes.

The Hoosiers held a two-point lead with 4:27 to play, but Kalika France hit two free throws to knot the score at 50-50. The Boilermakers then went on an 11-0 run, sparked by a steal and layup by Malone, which she followed up with a three-pointer after a missed shot by Indiana.

Lakisha Freeman recorded the third double-double of her career with 12 points and 10 rebounds, while Keshia Mosley contributed 12 points on 5 of 7 shooting and 2 of 3 from the free throw line in 16 minutes of action. Danielle Campbell pulled down 10 rebounds to go along with seven points and two blocked shots.

Purdue outrebounded the Hoosiers 40-38. The Boilermakers got to the free throw line 20 times more than Indiana, but hit just 15 of 28 from the charity stripe, while Indiana was 5 of 8. Purdue shot 42.6 percent from the field compared to 37.7 percent by the Hoosiers, including 30 percent (3 of 10) from beyond the arc versus Indiana's 16.7 percent (3 of 18) three-point field goal percentage.

Indiana was led by Amber Jackson's 20 points and 10 rebounds, but no other Hoosier reached double-figure scoring.

The Boilermakers take on Iowa at 6 p.m. ET on Saturday at Conseco Fieldhouse in the Big Ten Tournament semifinals. The No. 2 seed Hawkeyes defeated No. 7 seed Michigan, 58-37 on Friday.
