WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. - Purdue's women's tennis team (2-8, 0-1 Big Ten) dropped a 6-1 decision to No. 32 Long Beach State (9-4) Wednesday afternoon at the El Dorado Tennis Center.
The Boilermakers came close to winning their sixth doubles point, but lost 9-7 at both No. 1 and 3 doubles. The team of Stephanie Bengson and Hannah Grady snapped Stephanie Wooten and Brooke Beier's win streak at four with their victory at the No. 1 position.

The Boilermakers are off from competition until March 23 when they venture north to Michigan State.
Purdue returns home to the Schwartz Tennis Center on the weekend of March 29 and 30 to face current No. 1 Northwestern and Wisconsin. The Fighting Irish of Notre Dame visit West Lafayette on April 1.
