WACO, Texas - It was the same story on a different day for the Purdue baseball team as the Boilermakers fell to No.15 Baylor on Sunday, 2-1, the third straight loss to the Bears by a single run.

Baylor scored twice in the first inning off Purdue starting pitcher Allan Donato (0-1) before the senior right-hander settled in for a seven-inning outting.

Purdue (0-3) plated a run in the third inning on an RBI single by junior Brandon Haveman, but the Boilermakers couldn't break through again against the Bears' pitching staff.

The Boilermakers threatened in the fourth, fifth and eighth innings, putting mulitple runners on base in each inning, but were unable to get the key hit to drive in the tying run.

Purdue will practice on Tuesday and Wednesday evenings before hitting the road again, heading to Bowling Green, Ky., for a three-game series against Western Kentucky. The Boilermakers swept a three-game set from the Hilltoppers in Week Two of the 2007 season.
