WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. - No. 49 Purdue's senior doubles tandem of Brooke Beier and Cigdem Duru were victorious for a second-straight day at the Virginia Team Invitational in Charlottesville, Va.

Beier and Duru beat the Cavalier duo of Maggie Yahner and Lindsey Pereira 8-4 to grab sole possession of the flight A doubles leaderboard with 12 points.

Friday, Beier and Duru topped Sierra Poske and Emilee Malvehy of Wake Forest 8-6. The Boilermakers are slated to play No. 33 LSU's top-rated duo of Megan Falcon and Hannah Robinson Sunday morning.

Singles play against the host Cavaliers did not go as planned, with the Old Gold and Black picking up two wins through seven contests.

Stephanie Wooten rolled past Jennifer Stevens in straight-sets 6-4, 6-1. Duru came back from a set down to defeat Pereira 6-7, 7-6, 6-1.

Wooten, Duru, Joanna Craven and Anna Dzeva are in position to win their respective flights.

Wooten trails Wake Forest's Sasha Kulikova by three points in flight B and Duru is just two points off LSU's Tiffany Tucker's lead in flight C.

Craven is five points behind UVA's Maggie Yahner in flight D while Dzeva is just one point behind LSU's Mykala Hedberg for the flight E title.

The invitational's scoring system distributes points (for wins and losses) on a sliding scale to players bracketed in singles flights A-G and doubles flights A-D.
