IOWA CITY, Iowa (AP) -- Keaton Grant scored 22 points as Purdue beat Iowa 67-62 on Wednesday.

Purdue (12-5, 3-1 Big Ten) trailed 45-40 early in the second half before Grant scored eight straight points during a 12-0 run that put the Boilermakers ahead to stay.

Purdue shot 38.6 percent from the floor, but were 11-of-24 from 3-point range (45.8 percent), including 4-of-6 from Grant.

Iowa (8-10, 1-4) stayed close most of the game, shooting 50 percent in the first half and making 10 field goals after hitting just 11 in its 43-36 win over then-No. 6 Michigan State on Saturday.

Purdue's defense then clamped down, holding Iowa to 38.5 percent shooting in the second half and regaining a seven-point lead.

Tony Freeman, who led Iowa with 19 points, cut the deficit to one on a scoop lay-up with 6:06 remaining.

Chris Kramer answered with an uncontested lay-up and E'Twaun Moore hit a 25-footer with one second on the shot clock to push Purdue ahead by six.
