Finally, Purdue looked like Purdue. The Boilermakers reached the women's Elite Eight last season but have struggled this year. They looked like their old selves in a 65-48 win over visiting Wisconsin on Friday night that snapped the Badgers' five-game winning streak.
Danielle Campbell scored 19 points, Natasha Bogdanova had 11 points and 10 rebounds, and Lakisha Freeman added 12 points, nine rebounds and four steals for the Boilermakers (5-6, 1-0 Big Ten).
Campbell shot 8-for-12 from the field and had six rebounds. She had been shooting 35 percent for the season, but looked nearly unstoppable against the Badgers.
Rae Lin D'Alie scored 14 points and Danielle Ward added 13 points and 11 rebounds for the Badgers (7-4, 0-1).
Wisconsin guard Jolene Anderson was held to six points, ending her streak of consecutive games scoring in double figures at 39. She entered the game leading the Big Ten with 20 points per game. Anderson shot 3-for-13 from the field and 0-for-5 from 3-point range.
