LAS VEGAS (AP) -- Chris Kramer's running layup with 13.6 seconds to play Sunday night gave Purdue a 72-70 victory over Missouri State at the Las Vegas Holiday Classic.
Missouri State took a 70-69 lead with 20 seconds to play on a pair of foul shots from Justin Fuehrmeyer, but Kramer drove the length of the court on Purdue's next possession for the win.
Freshman Robbie Hummel led Purdue (8-4) with 16 points and 12 rebounds, Martin had 17 and Kramer added 14.
Following Kramer's basket, which put the Boilermakers up 71-70, Missouri State's Thomas Brock missed a short jumper with 3.1 seconds left, and Purdue's Scott Martin converted 1-of-2 from the free throw line for the final margin.
Missouri State (7-5) had trailed 66-61 with two minutes to play, but scored seven of the next nine points, including a 3-pointer from Chris Cooks to tie the game at 68 with 59.3 seconds left.
Deven Mitchell had a game high 19 points for the Bears, Dale Lamberth scored 17 and Fuehrmeyer added 13.
The win gave Purdue a 2-2 split in the four-game tournament.
Missouri State led by nine points in the first half, but had matchup problems inside and was out-rebounded 35-24.
The game featured 16 ties and 11 lead changes.
