SEATTLE - Washington freshman Katelan Redmon's jumper with three seconds on the clock capped a furious second-half rally as the Huskies came back to defeat Purdue, 66-65, at Bank of America Arena, Friday night.

The Boilermakers held a 12-point lead (52-40) with 10:33 remaining in the game, but an 18-8 run by the Huskies over the next seven minutes cut the deficit to just two points (60-58) with 3:34 left.

Washington's relentless full-court defense sparked the comeback as the Huskies forced the Boilermakers to commit 18 turnovers in the second half and 30 overall, a season-high for Purdue.

With Purdue holding on to a one-point lead (64-65), point guard FahKara Malone was pressured by Washington's Emily Florence and committed an over-and-back turnover with 32.3 seconds remaining. On the ensuing possession, the Huskies' Sara Mosiman missed a layup with 23 seconds left and junior Danielle Campbell pulled down the rebound for Purdue. The Boilermakers found Kalika France all alone down the floor, but Florence closed the gap enough to foul France, sending her to the line, where she missed both free throw attempts with 14 seconds left. The Huskies' Andrea Plouffe grabbed the rebound on the second miss and took it down the floor to set up Redmon's gamewinning jumper.

The Huskies lead at the buzzer was the first of the game since an 8-7 advantage at 12:14 in the first half.

Forward Lakisha Freeman led the Boilermakers with 17 points and nine rebounds, while France added 13 points and eight rebounds. Purdue led for the entire second-half until Redmon's gamewinning shot, its largest lead being that 12-point advantage after which the Huskies staged their comeback.
