WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. - All six Boilermakers scored at least one win whether in singles and doubles as Purdue edged Penn State 4-3 Sunday afternoon at the Schwartz Tennis Center.

The victory snapped a season-long three-match losing streak for the Old Gold and Black, which improved to 11-5 this season and 4-2 in the Big Ten.

The loss dropped Penn State's record to 8-10 and 2-3 in the Big Ten.

Purdue received two convincing doubles wins to claim the dual's first point. The 45th-ranked combo of Mallory Voelker and Brooke Beier beat up on Andreea Niculescu and Lauren Holzberg 8-2, while Anna Dzeva and Alenjandra Boeker rattled Sarah Lotto and Dorothy Dohanics 8-3.

Neela Vaez and Cigdem Duru dropped their doubles match at No. 2, but came through for the Boilermakers with a pair of straight set wins at No. 3 and 4 singles. At No. 3, Vaez dismantled Holzberg 6-3, 6-4, and Duru nipped Jenny Schular, 6-2, 7-6.

Voelker clinched the match at No. 1 singles, with a decisive 6-4, 6-7, 6-0 triumph over Niculescu.

Purdue continues its homestand next weekend with duals against Ohio State and Indiana Saturday and Sunday. Both contests are scheduled to start at 11 a.m.
