WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. - The Boilermakers played host to the Gophers of Minnesota today at the Schwartz Tennis Center. They utilized the outdoor courts today as it was Senior Day. The Gophers came out on top with a score of 4-3 moving their record to 15-8, 5-5 Big Ten. The Boilers are now 8-13, 1-9 Big Ten.

Purdue came out strong in doubles when sophomore Jose Fuenmayor and senior Eric Hodgman took out their Gopher counterparts Mikey Kantar and Raoul Schwark 8-3.

The Boiler team of freshman Branko Kuzmanovic and senior Paul Rose clinched the doubles point against the team of Nich Edlefsen and Sion Wilkins, but the Gopher team didn't go down without a fight. The match ended up going into an 8-8 tiebreaker with the Boilers coming out on top 9-8(5).

Singles did not bode as well for the Boilers as they dropped four of the six matches in straight sets.

Sophomore Kurt Zaske grabbed a point for the Boilers by beating Mikey Kantar 6-2, 6-1.

Capturing the final point for the Boilers was freshman Paul Foley who defeated Sion Wilkins 6-4, 5-7, 6-4.

The Boilers are back in action during the Big Ten Championships Thursday, April 26th - Sunday, April 29th at the Schwartz Tennis Center.
