EVANSTON, Ill. - The Purdue Boilermakers traveled to Northwestern Sunday to face the 10th-ranked Wildcats. The Wildcats took the match with a 7-0 score to improve their record to 11-4, 5-0 Big Ten. The Boilers are now 10-3, 3-1 Big Ten.
The Wildcats captured the doubles point by winning all three matches.
The Boilers were unable to claim a point in singles either. The Wildcats claimed matches at No. 2-6 in straight sets.
Boilermaker sophomore Mallory Voelker came back to win her second set to send the match to a super-tiebreak at the No. 1 position. She ended up falling to 15th-ranked Georgia Rose 6-1, 4-6, 10-6.
The Boilers are back in action again on April 3 in South Bend, Ind.
Purdue's next home match is on April 7th at the Schwartz Tennis Center. The action starts at 11 a.m. when the Boilers take on Michigan
