AUBURN, Ala. - The Purdue Nine dropped its second straight game to 13th-ranked Auburn on Saturday, falling 11-0 to the Tigers at Plainsman Park in front of an AU crowd of 3,502.
Purdue is now 4-4 while Auburn improved to 16-2.

Single runs for the Tigers in the fifth and sixth innings made the AUburn lead 6-0, and a five-run eighth inning put the game out of reach.
Paul Burnside was the winning Auburn pitcher, improving to 4-0 on the season, while Brett Butts picked up his second save by pitching the final four innings.
The Boilermakers stranded 10 runners on base in the game.
