WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. (AP) -Katie Gearlds scored 14 points and No. 12 Purdue beat North Carolina State 68-38 Wednesday night to advance to the Preseason WNIT championship game.
Erin Lawless and Danielle Campbell added 12 apiece for the Boilermakers (3-0), who will play the winner of Thursday's BYU-Baylor game on Sunday or Monday in the championship game.
Keisha Brown scored nine points and Khadijah Whittington grabbed 11 rebounds for North Carolina State (2-1).
Purdue held the Wolfpack to 22 percent shooting.
The Boilermakers put together a 19-4 run to take a 25-11 lead with 7:06 left in the first half.
Purdue shot 52 percent in the first half and held the Wolfpack to 20 percent shooting to take a 34-16 halftime lead.
The Boilermakers have allowed 44 points per game in wins over Belmont, Hartford and N.C. State to reach the finals. The Boilermakers held all three to under 35 percent shooting.
They led by as many as 31 points in the second half against the Wolfpack.
