WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. (AP) -Carl Landry scored 18 points and David Teague added 13 as Purdue beat Northern Colorado 90-58 on Monday night.
Keaton Grant and Chris Lutz scored 12 points each and Gordon Watt added 10 points and nine rebounds for the Boilermakers.
Sean Taibi led Northern Colorado (0-2) with 19 points and Kirk Archibeque added 15.
Purdue (1-0) shot 11-for-25 from 3-point range and forced 33 turnovers. It was the Boilermakers' highest point total since a 95-65 win over San Diego in December 2002.
Landry looked strong in his return. He tore a ligament in his right knee late in the 2004-2005 season and had offseason surgery. He played five games last season before lingering pain led him to a medical redshirt. He left Monday's game with 6:15 left and Purdue holding a 71-43 lead.
