WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. (AP) -Lindsay Wisdom-Hylton scored 18 points and grabbed a career-high 14 rebounds as No. 11 Purdue beat Hartford 83-51 Sunday in the quarterfinals of the Preseason WNIT.

Wisdom-Hylton, a junior forward, also had five assists, three blocks and two steals. Jodi Howell scored a career-high 16 points, Erin Lawless scored 15 points and FahKara Malone had 15 points and seven steals for the Boilermakers.

Jamie McCabe led Hartford with 14 points.

The Boilermakers (2-0) will host North Carolina State in a semifinal Wednesday.

Hartford (1-1) reached the second round of the NCAA tournament last season under former Connecticut star Jennifer Rizzotti, and the Hawks looked like that caliber of team for the first 15 minutes. Purdue led 20-17 late in the first half before Malone, a freshman point guard, scored eight points in a 14-0 run that gave Purdue a 34-17 halftime lead.

Wisdom-Hylton had six points, nine rebounds and three blocks at halftime. Purdue forced 10 turnovers and held Hartford to 27 percent shooting before the break.

The Boilermakers scored the first four points of the second half before the Hawks finally stopped the run. Purdue extended its lead to as many as 35 points.

It was Purdue's second-straight dominant defensive effort. The Boilermakers held Hartford to 34 percent shooting after holding Belmont to 23 percent shooting in a season-opening 67-43 win on Thursday night.
