WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. - The Purdue men's tennis team suffered a 7-0 loss at No. 6 Ohio State on Saturday. The loss dropped the Boilermakers to 6-10 overall and 1-3 in the Big Ten, while the Buckeyes improved to 15-1 and 3-0 with the victory.
Ohio State entered the contest with a 36-match home winning streak. The streak grew by one with a sweep through all nine singles and doubles matches. Purdue senior Colin Foster and junior Jarred Leibner both won their first sets in singles before falling in three at No. 1 and No. 5.
Purdue will return to the court next weekend, when it plays host to Michigan and Michigan State on Saturday and Sunday. The Boilermakers have not played at home since Feb. 26.
