COLUMBUS, Ohio - Friday night at the Ohio State Open, senior Carrie McCambridge won the 3-meter title with a pool record 339.15 points. McCambridge's score was eight points higher than Iowa's Nancilea Underwood's runner-up score of 331.05.
On the men's side, Josh Karshen and Steven LoBue finished among the top eight off the 1-meter springboard.
Karshen placed fifth with 295.80 points and LoBue was seventh with 294.45 points. All-American and national champion Joona Puhakka of Arizona State won the six-dive competition with 417.80 points, while Penn State's Adam Pierce was second with 360.45 points and Miami's Derek Starks was third with 317.50 points.
Saturday, the women and men exchange springboards as the men compete off the 1-meter and the women off the 3-meter. Sunday, both groups compete off the platform tower.
