WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. (AP) - Natasha Bogdanova scored 23 points to lead No. 16 Purdue to a 107-39 rout over Indiana-Purdue Fort Wayne in the Boilermakers season opener Sunday at Mackey Arena.
Erin Lawless scored 22 points, including 10 in the first half on 4-of-5 shooting as Purdue opened a 54-20 lead. Emily Heikes added 10 points and 13 rebounds.
Vera Bibbs led IPFW (0-2) with 12 points and seven rebounds.
Lawless, who missed the end of the first half after a hard fall on a shot attempt, scored six of the Boilermakers' first 10 points of the second half to extend the lead to 64-20.
Purdue began the game with an 11-0 run before sophomore Molly Martin got the Mastodons on the scoreboard with a 3-pointer nearly four minutes into the half.
The Boilermakers took a 30-9 lead following another 11-0 run midway through the first half. During the spurt, Lindsay Wisdom-Hylton converted a three-point play after taking a no-look pass from Aya Traore on a fastbreak.
