Women's Basketball Upended by Michigan State, 67-62

EAST LANSING, Mich. (AP) - Lindsay Bowen hit a 3-pointer with 24.5 seconds remaining, and finished with 21 points as Michigan State rallied to upset seventh-ranked Purdue 67-62 Monday night.

Bowen had five 3-pointers and made two free throws with 4.1 seconds to go to seal the victory for the Spartans (7-5, 1-1 Big Ten). She was perfect on six free throws, extending her streak to 32 in a row.

Liz Shimek added 19 points and nine rebounds for Michigan State, which overcame a six-point deficit three times in the second half.

Shereka Wright led the Boilermakers (11-2, 0-1) with 18 points and 12 rebounds. Mary Jo Noon and Erika Valek added 12 points apiece for Purdue.

Noon connected on a short jumper with three seconds left in the first half to give the Boilermakers a 32-30 lead at the break. It was Purdue's first lead since 2-0.
