EVANSTON, Ill. (AP) - Erika Valek tied a career high with 26 points and had six assists to lead No. 12 Purdue over Northwestern 76-60 on Sunday.

Valek scored 13 of her 19 second-half points in a 5:01 stretch. Mary Jo Noon chipped in 18 points for Purdue (16-3, 4-2 Big Ten), while Lindsey Hicks scored 13 and grabbed six rebounds.

Sarah Kwasinski led Northwestern (6-13, 1-7) with 16 points. She also had seven rebounds. Samantha McComb had 15 points and Melissa Culver added 11.

Purdue shot 87.5 percent from the free-throw line, going 7-of-8 in the first half and 14-of-16 in the second. Purdue led 34-28 at the half.

Northwestern struggled from behind the 3-point line, making 1-of-4 in the second half after hitting 2-of-5 in the first.

Valek left the game briefly after colliding with Northwestern's Ifeoma Okonkwo early in the second half.
