WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. - Sophomore Lara Burgarello and senior Missy Wright won the doubles bracket at the Eck Classic in South Bend, Ind., today.
Burgarello and Wright defeated Notre Dame's pair of Katie Cunha and Kristina Stastny 8-6.
In the consolation of doubles, sophomores Amy Walgenbach and Shawna Zuccarini defeated Louisville's tandem of Melisa San Martin and Kelly Taylor 8-6. The Boilermakers were titled consolation champions.
In the Blue Bracket of singles, Walgenbach fell 6-4, 6-2 to Sarah Connelly of Notre Dame in the consolation round.
