Freshman Brittany Reitz, sophomore Amy Walgenbach and senior Missy Wright all finished in fifth place.
"Amy, Brittany and Missy did a great job of winning their consolation matches," Iandolo said.
In Flight Three, Reitz defeated Danielle Petrisko of Kentucky 6-0, 6-0, while Walgenbach toppled Ashley Robards of Tennessee 6-4, 6-4 in the fourth flight. Wright upended Maria Nieto of Georgia Tech 6-3, 6-3 in Flight Five.
Sophomore Shawna Zuccarini finished the day in second place after falling 5-7, 6-3, 6-0 to Ramona But of Maryland in the sixth flight.
In other singles action, sophomore Laura Burgarello and junior Gretchen Haynor finished the weekend in fourth place. Burgarello fell 6-3, 6-2 to Annelis Schenk of Georgia Tech in Flight Four, while Haynor lost 6-3, 6-4 to Delila Causevic of Maryland in Flight Two.
Senior Melissa Iqbal did not compete today due to a shoulder injury. Iqbal next will compete at the Riviera All-American Championships in Los Angeles, Calif., along with Haynor and Wright. Iqbal will compete on Tuesday, Oct. 8, in the qualifying round of singles, while 33rd-ranked Haynor and Wright will compete in qualifying doubles, also on Tuesday.
