WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. - Purdue doubles team of freshman Brittany Reitz and sophomore Lara Burgarello advance to the quarterfinals of doubles at the ITA/Omni Hotels Regional Championships in East Lansing, Mich., today.
Reitz and Burgarello upended Cristelle Grier and Andrea Yung of Northwestern 8-6. The Boilermakers will compete in the final two rounds of doubles on Monday, Oct. 28.
Purdue's No. 6 seed and 33rd-ranked doubles team of junior Gretchen Haynor and senior Missy Wright fell 9-7 to Frederika Girsang and Melanie Peters of Western Michigan.
