In Flight Three, Reitz and Burgarello defeated April Uy and Lindsay Downing of Penn State 8-2 and upended Alice Sukner and Danielle Hock of Marshall 8-6. In the same flight, sophomore teammates Amy Walgenbach and Shawna Zuccarini defeated Erin Cohn and Claudia Farace of Tennessee 8-4. In the semifinals, Walgenbach and Zuccarini defeated Annelies Schenk and Sekita Grant of Georgia Tech 8-6. In the final round of singles, the Boilermakers went head-to-head. Reitz and Burgarello gave Walgenbach and Zuccarini their first lost of the day after defeating them 8-3, to crown them as flight champions.
Also finishing strong in the singles competition were senior Melissa Iqbal and junior Melissa Woods. The Boilermakers defeated Melissa Schaub and Ashley Robards of Tennessee 8-5, then went on to upend Anna Dolinska and Ioana Paun of Clemson 8-6 in the semifinals. Iqbal and Woods were defeated 8-4 in the finals by Jill Buckley and Danielle Petrisko of Kentucky.
In Flight One of doubles, senior Missy Wright and junior Gretchen Haynor fell 8-5 to Jamie Wong and Mysti Morris of Georgia Tech and lost 8-5 Penn State's tandem of Megan Marton and Judy Wung 8-5. Wright and Haynor completed the tournament in seventh place due to a bye.
In Flight Four, sophomore Catie McLevish combined with Holly Asel of Marshall to compete in the doubles competition. McLevish and Asel fell to Shannon Stough of Kentucky and Laura McNamara of Middle Tennessee 8-1.
