Penn State responded by going on a 5-1 run to knot the game 9-all. The Lady Lions scored three unanswered for a 12-9 lead, but Purdue answered with the same to tie the game at 12. The Boilermakers could not overcome an early 6-0 deficit in Game 2. The Boilermakers would get no closer though as Penn State closed the game, 15-10.
