WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. - The Purdue volleyball team fell 3-0 (15-3, 15-3, 15-5) Saturday to sixth-ranked Wisconsin in Madison. With the loss the Boilermakers fell to 4-14 (12-18 Big Ten), while the Badgers improved to 16-2 (26-3 Big Ten).
"Wisconsin is a solid team from top to bottom," head coach Jeff Hulsmeyer said. "Tonight it was not so much what we did or didn't do, but what Wisconsin did so well."
The Badgers held Purdue to a season low clip of .000 (27-27-107) and recorded only seven errors on 86 attempts for a .372 clip of their own. The Old Gold and Black was outblocked 14-2 and recorded seven reception errors on the night.
Freshman Joanna Lowry was Purdue's kill leader with nine and junior Christy Case led the Boilermakers with nine digs.
Purdue will return home Friday, November 24 to face Indiana in the annual Monon Spike match. Action will begin at 7 p.m. and will be broadcast live on WAZY 1410 AM and www.purduesports.com.
