Men's Track and Field Leads in Big Ten All-Academic Honors Boilermakers top conference with 15 representatives.

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. - As the 1998-99 school year comes to a close, the Big Ten Conference released the spring term Academic All- Big Ten Conference team and recognized a total of 714 spring and at- large athletes, 61 more than last year, who have been named to the Academic All-Conference Team. To be eligible for Academic All-Big Ten selection, an athlete must be a letterwinner in at least their second consecutive academic year at their institution and carry a career grade- point average of 3.0 or better. The Purdue men's track and field leads the way for the Old Gold and Black with 15 representatives.
