Kevin Pendergast to Give Presentation on Sports Gambling

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. - Former Notre Dame kicker Kevin Pendergast will speak to current Purdue student-athletes on his experiences with sports gambling and the pitfalls and dangers involved. The one hour presentation will begin at 4 p.m. Monday, April 26 and will be held in the IAF gym. The program will cover Pendergast's personal involvement, along with the ramifications and consequences of sports wagering.
Perdergast, along with three others, was indicted on gambling charges stemming from bets he placed on Northwestern basketball games in 1995.
