WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. - The Purdue athletic department has announced the hiring of Joe Kane as the new Assistant Golf Professional to the Birck Boilermaker Golf Complex. Kane's responsibilities will include planning outings and retail management. He was a student employee for Purdue during the past two years. Kane is a native of Joliet, Ill., where he spent most of his days working at Joliet Country Club. During his days at JCC, Kane gained valuable golf course operations knowledge especially in the field of guest relations. A senior in the College of Health Kinesiology and Leisure Studies, Kane will graduate in the fall with a bachelor's degree in sports medicine/physical therapy.
