Kampen Course To Close For NCAA Women's Golf Championships Ackerman Hills remains open

May 13, 2003

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. - Purdue's Kampen Course will be closed to the public from May 15 to 23 for the 2003 NCAA Women's Golf National Championships. The championships will mark the first time in more than 50 years that Purdue has hosted an NCAA championship.

As long as no rounds of the championships are rained out, the Kampen Course will reopen for public play on May 24.

Special arrangements will be made so that Ackerman Hills will remain open. Parking for play on Ackerman Hills will be located in the lot north of Ross-Ade Stadium. Golfers will be asked to check in directly on the course, just south of the No. 1 teebox.

"Ackerman Hills will remain open throughout the championships," said Head Golf Professional Doug Hill. "We're going to have staff available directly on the course to help make sure everyone's experience at Ackerman Hills goes smoothly."
