WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. - Men's and women's basketball fans can hear live play-by-play, listen in on the coaches' radio shows and see replays of select women's games via purduesports.com.

Most audio and video coverage of the Boilermakers is now handled through one of two subscription services available at the online home of Purdue intercollegiate athletics. The improved and expanded offerings mark a transition from early multimedia offerings to an enhanced fan experience.

"We are now counting our online subscribers in the thousands, and we are glad to know the additional content and quality are drawing in our fans from around the world," said Athletics Director Morgan Burke. "Much of the content on purduesports.com remains free of charge, and these enhanced multimedia offerings clearly are of great value to Boiler fans."

All men's and women's basketball radio coverage on the Boilermaker Sports Network can be heard via purduesports.com by subscribing to Yahoo premium service. Gene Keady's and Kristy Curry's radio call-in shows, originating from Chumley's restaurant in downtown Lafayette, also are available through Yahoo. The Gene Keady Show, broadcast throughout Indiana, also can be viewed with a Yahoo subscription. In addition, archived audio of 2003 football games and the Joe Tiller Show are available through Yahoo.

Select women's games produced for tape-delay broadcast in Greater Lafayette also will be available online for subscribers to OCSN College Sports Pass through purduesports.com. Elliot Bloom and Kathleen Offer of the Purdue Sports Information staff call the action. The productions are the work of an undergraduate video production class taught by staff of the Elliott Hall of Music.

In 2002-03, purduesports.com enjoyed more than 15 million page views. In September, the site welcomed more than 200,000 visitors and experienced more than 2 million page views.

More information on the Yahoo service -- home to radio play-by-play coverage, call-in shows and the Keady television show -- is available at http://sports.yahoo.com/ncaaf/teams/ppj/schedule.

In addition to women's video replays, audio webcasts for volleyball, soccer, baseball and softball, as well as Jumbotron replays of all 2003 home football games also are available through OCSN College Sports Pass.
