Lindsay Esposito joined the Purdue sports nutrition staff in 2017. She is primarily responsible for the nutrition needs of women’s basketball, men’s and women’s golf, men’s and women’s swimming & diving, and the spirit squad.
Prior to becoming a Boilermaker, Esposito was a sports nutrition intern at Rutgers University, where she worked with football, soccer, lacrosse, field hockey, gymnastics, volleyball, tennis, and golf. This opportunity was unique, as Esposito assisted two other dietitians in building the Rutgers sports nutrition department from the ground up.
A native of Chicago, Esposito earned a B.S. degree in food science and human nutrition from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. As an undergraduate student, she served as a sports nutrition volunteer for three years. From there, Esposito completed her dietetic internship at the University of Houston and obtained her registered dietitian credential in 2016. One of her favorite rotations while earning her 1,200-plus hours of supervised practice involved assessing and learning about the nutrition needs of astronauts in space at NASA Johnson Space Center. Esposito currently is pursuing a master’s degree in exercise science with a concentration in sports nutrition.
