Big Ten Announces Spring Academic All-Conference Teams Honorees include 38 Purdue student-athletes

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. - The Big Ten named 796 spring and at-large sports student-athletes to the Academic All-Conference team. Purdue represented 38 of the honorees from baseball, softball, men's and women's golf, men's and women's tennis and men's and women's track and field.

Baseball seniors Michael Correll and Heath Uppencamp were two of six Big Ten student-athletes to maintained unblemished GPAs. Correll majored in Social Studies Education and Uppencamp in Psychology.

To be eligible for Academic All-Big Ten recognition, student-athletes must be letterwinners in at least their second academic year at their institution and carry a career grade-point average of 3.0 or better.
