Baseball, Softball on Radio, Internet Suscription needed for listening at purduesports.com

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. - Purdue baseball and softball home games will be broadcast in the Lafayette area on WLAS-AM 1410 and also on www.purduesports.com. Broadcast via the Web Site requires a Boilermaker Sports Pass premium subscription.

The Boilermaker Sports Pass is available on the Web Site for a fee of $6.95 per month. To subscribe to Sports Pass, go to the bottom of the home page to the schedule of events and click on the broadcast "listen" link to any of the upcoming games.

Baseball's first broadcast this year is today against Western Michigan. Upcoming home games include Saturday, March 27, at 3 p.m. against Cleveland State and Sunday, March 28, at 2 p.m. against Western Michigan.

The first softball broadcast of the season was on March 24 against Valparaiso. Future broadcast home games on the schedule include Saturday, March 27, at noon against IPFW and Tuesday, March 30, at 2 p.m. against Butler. The game against IPFW will be an Internet-only broadcast.

Travis Dorsch, the former Boilermaker All-American kicker and punter and member of the baseball team, will provide play-by-play for baseball. Dorsch will be teamed will Andrew Staley, who will provide color commentary. Purdue Sports Information Director Tom Schott is in his fourth season at the microphone for softball broadcasts.
