Elaine Wanstreet joined the Purdue sports nutrition staff in 2017. She is primarily responsible for the nutrition needs of baseball, cross country, softball, track & field, and wrestling.
Prior to becoming a Boilermaker, Wanstreet was a sports nutrition graduate assistant at the University of Oklahoma, where she worked with football, men’s and women’s basketball, women’s soccer, men’s and women’s tennis, and rowing. During her time at the Oklahoma, she earned her master’s degree in adult and higher education with an emphasis in intercollegiate athletic administration.
Wanstreet graduated from Murray State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in nutrition and dietetics. She then completed her dietetic internship through Southern University and A & M College in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, while also working as a certified personal trainer. She attended high school at Morrison Christian Academy in Taichung, Taiwan.
