Adam Kuffner
Adam Kuffner joined Purdue as director of strategic communications in November of 2021. He serves as the communications contact for Purdue Football and Purdue Women’s Golf.   While at Purdue, Kuffner has led in the promotion of several All-Americans and All-Big Ten honorees, primarily on social media. Kuffner has also been recognized for his writing, winning District 5 in the College Sports Communicators Fred Stabley Sr. Writing Contest for his historical feature on Stuart Schweigert.   A native of St. Marys, Ohio, Kuffner returned north following a near, seven-year stint at Ole Miss. He began his time with the Rebels as the contact for the baseball team, while assisting with communication duties for Ole Miss Football. Following three years working with baseball, Kuffner was promoted to associate director of media relations for the men’s basketball team. While maintaining his secondary football duties, Kuffner also become the contact for Ole Miss Men’s Golf, helping promote defending national champion and then-World No. 1 amateur Braden Thornberry.   Making the move south to Ole Miss, Kuffner was named assistant director of media relations for the Rebels in 2015. While serving as the communications contact for the nationally-ranked baseball team in his first months on the job, he completed his master’s degree in sport management from Eastern Michigan.   In 2012, Kuffner started his career in communications as a graduate assistant at Eastern Michigan. During his two-year tenure with the Eagles, Kuffner served as the primary contact for a variety of sports including: baseball, cross country, gymnastics, soccer as well as track and field. He also worked with the men’s and women’s basketball teams along with the football team as the secondary contact, traveling to road games as the primary sports information director several times throughout each season. Throughout his career, Kuffner has volunteered to work a variety of tournaments and championships, including the following: NCAA Men’s Basketball Regional, NCAA Women’s Basketball First and Second Rounds, Big Ten Football Championship, SEC Men’s Basketball Tournament, MAC Football Championship, MAC Men’s and Women’s Basketball Tournaments, LPGA Marathon Classic and U.S. Senior Open.   Kuffner earned a bachelor’s degree from Bowling Green State University in 2012, majoring in sport management with a minor in general business.
