2022-23 / AS A GRADUATE STUDENT
• Became the 61st All-American in Purdue Wrestling history, the second placewinner under head coach Tony Ersland. 
• Finished with a 25-11 record in his final season, highlighted by a 12-5 run in the final month of the season on his way to All-American status. 
• Fought his way to seventh at the 2023 NCAA Championships in Tulsa, scoring three decisions and a pin in the bloodround to climb the national podium for the first time. 
• As a No. 12 seed Filius sits tied as the lowest seeded Boilermaker ever to become a national placewinner along with Jason Silverstein who took eighth as the No. 12 in 1999. They are two of the four double-digit seeds in Purdue history to wrestle their way to the podium.
• Only qualifier from the state of Montana at the 2023 tournament. He is the 37th ever All-American from Big Sky Country.
• Placed fifth at the Big Ten Wrestling Championships after upsetting higher seeded wrestlers Jakob Bergeland of Minnesota 9-3 and Frankie Tal-Shahar of Northwestern 4-3.  
• Set new single-season highs in wins (25), tournament wins (17), conference wins (11) and bonus point wins (9).
• Knocked off the highest-ranked opponent of his career when he beat No. 5 Ryan Jack of N.C. State to move into the quarterfinals of the NCAA tournament. 
• Became the 16th Boilermaker in program history to qualify for his fourth NCAA tournament. 
• Took the title at the 2022 Clarion Open, winning all four of his matches with bonus points (three major decisions and a fall). Beat No. 23 Josh Koderhandt of Navy in the final with an 18-10 major. 
• Finished the season ranked No. 7 by FloWrestling, his career best. 
• Purdue’s male representative for the 2023 Big Ten Medal of Honor, the first Boilermaker wrestler to earn the honor since 2009 and just the fourth all-time. 
• Named an NWCA Scholar All-American for the fourth time, just the third Purdue wrestler to do so.
• Earned Academic All-Big Ten honors for the fourth time. 
 
2021-22 / AS A REDSHIRT SENIOR
• Finished 22-13 on the year at 141 pounds, setting a new career-high win total and finishing second on the team in victories.
• Qualified for his third straight NCAA Championships, earning an at-large bid to the national tournament where he posted a 1-2 record.
• Upset No. 13 seed Ian Parker of Iowa State in the opening round at nationals, scoring a 13-5 major decision to advance to the round of 32.
• Climbed as high as No. 13 in the national rankings at 141 pounds, his career best.
• Led the Boilermakers in matches (35) and major decisions (6), tied for the team lead with eight reversals and finished third on the team with a career-most 65 takedowns.
• Posted a 12-3 overall mark in dual competition, including a 7-0 non-conference record, and his eight bonus-point wins ranked second on the roster.
• Placed sixth at the 2021 Cliff Keen Las Vegas Invitational, fifth at the 2021 Matmen Open and eighth at the 2022 Big Ten Championships, where he defeated a pair of former All-Americans in Michigan’s Stevan Micic and Nebraska’s Chad Red.
• Scored the deciding team point in Purdue’s 17-16 dual win at Indiana, the Boilermakers’ 12th in a row in the series, earning a 12-4 major decision over No. 31 Cayden Rooks.
• Earned his third career Academic All-Big Ten award.
• Named an NWCA Scholar All-American for the third straight year.

• Finished 9-9 at 141 pounds, including a 6-4 tournament record
• Nationally ranked as high as No. 17 in the nation by WIN Magazine, and earned rankings in all five national polls during the season
• Advanced to the NCAA Championships for the second straight season, earning an automatic qualifier with a fifth-place showing at the Big Ten Championships
• Went 2-2 at NCAA’s as the No. 18 seed, including a major decision over Julian Flores of Drexel

• Earned three consecutive road victories in Big Ten duals, topping Indiana’s Eddie Bolivar 7-4, Maryland’s Hunter Baxter 11-0 and posted one of the season’s biggest wins to seal the Boilermakers’ come-from-behind victory at Rutgers, edging JoJo Aragona in overtime 4-2
