2023-24 / AS A FRESHMAN

• Finished the season with an impressive 17-10 record, claiming seven bonus point and three ranked victories
• Earned an NCAA auto-bid with a 10th place finish in his debut Big Ten tournament. Came back from down five in the third period in the extra 11th place bracket to upset No. 26 ranked Jordan Hamdan of Michigan State to punch his ticket
• Went 1-2 as the No. 28 seed at the NCAA Championships, upsetting No. 12 Wyatt Henson of Lock Haven 10-9 with a takedown in the final 20 seconds to take the win
• In qualifying alongside teammate Joey Blaze, the duo became only the third pair of true freshmen Boilermakers to make the NCAA tournament. Previously happened in 2021 and 1947. The pair were 2-of-9 Big Ten true freshman to qualify for the national tournament
• Led the team in back points with 58 on 16 attempts. Maintained his lead throughout the season despite sustaining an injury that kept him out of action for over a month
• Finished tied with Stoney Buell for the most back points in a match with 12 in his 15-0 (2:26) win over Clarion’s David McClelland
