Competing in the U20 Freestyle division (under 20 years old), the round of preliminaries and consolation begins at 1 p.m. ET on Saturday at The Expo at World Market Center.

Quintero will wrestle in the 57 kg division as Krejsa competes at 70 kg.

Quintero burst onto the national stage a year ago with a fifth-place finish at the 2024 US Open, competing in the U20 at 57 kg. As an incoming college freshman, he went 6-2 with five straight wins to open his run.

In the semifinals, Quintero lost to Penn State's Luke Lilledahl, the eventual 2025 Big Ten champion at 125 lbs., before bouncing back and winning the fifth-place match over Aaron Seidel.

By doing so, Quintero secured a spot in the U20 World Team Trials last summer.

The Placentia, Calif., native went 9-6 during his redshirt season, competing strictly in tournaments before making his dual debut in the Feb. 9 dual at Minnesota.

In his first career dual match, the true freshman valiantly scrapped with No. 9 Cooper Flynn to a narrow 5-2 decision loss.

Krejsa, hailing from Greenwod, Ind., will be making his first trip to the US Open after an impressive redshirt season in 2024-25. Wrestling at 149 lbs. most of the year, he took a fourth-place podium finish in his first-ever collegiate tournament at the Kent State Open as well as a fifth-place finish at the Purple Raider Open.

Krejsa later bulked up to 157 lbs. to make his dual debut at Wisconsin and Minnesota, dropping both matches.

A seventh-place finish or higher will be required in each division to make it to the next stage, which is the U20 World Team Trials in Geneva, Ohio.

The World Team Trials will take place from May 30 through June 1, 2025 at Spire Academy.
