AZUSA, Calif. – Purdue Outdoor Track & Field's distance group had four athletes compete in the 5000m in its second of three days at the Bryan Clay Invitational.
Men's Notes
• Kiefer Bell ran the first 5000m of his collegiate career in14:15.76 to finish 17th in heat two of the Men's Open 5000m.
• Caleb Williams ran 14:28.07 in his first 5000m since 2023. The race comes one day after he set a school record in the 3000m steeplechase (8:40.44).
Women's Notes
• Lauren Pegher turned in a 16:58.91 in the first 5000m of her outdoor career.
• Paige Hazelrigg performed in the first outdoor meet of her collegiate career and ran17:40.03 in the 5000m.

Purdue distance concludes the Bryan Clay Invitational on Friday while the rest of the team begins the Tom Jones Memorial in Gainesville.
