WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. – The Purdue men's golf team closes out its regular season this weekend, when it hosts the 20th Boilermaker Invitational at Ackerman-Allen Course on Saturday and Sunday.
Eighteen teams will play 36 holes on Saturday and 18 holes on Sunday, starting with a shotgun start both days at 9 a.m. ET. Admission is free.
The event is the final regular-season tournament for the Boilermakers as all teams in the field will prepare for their conference championships next weekend. Six Big Ten teams as well as several Big East and MAC schools will be in the field. Purdue is looking for their second straight Boilermaker Invitational title after defeating No. 11 Oklahoma in the 2023 event. The Boilermakers did not host the event last Spring in advance of hosting the NCAA Regionals in mid-May.
The field consists of nine top-100, and four top-50, teams in the latest Clippd Golf national rankings (April 16).
The Boilermakers are looking for their fourth tournament win of the season, and third in four events this spring.

In the 20th rendition of the Boilermaker Invitational, Purdue is searching for its fourth title in tournament history (2023, 2011, 2004). The Boilermakers have finished as the runner-up seven times and have had three golfers win medalist honors (2023 – Herman Sekne; 2011 – Adam Schenk; 2005 – Johan Edin).

- Purdue owns a 32-3-1 spring season record, winning both the Puerto Rico Classic and the Hootie Intercollegiate. Over the last three tournaments, Purdue owns a an 11-1-0 record against top-10 ranked teams.
- The Boilermakers posted a 288.00 stroke average in the fall, but is averaging 280.78 strokes / 18 holes this fall.

- Leads the team in stroke average (71.00), rounds of par or better (16), top-10 finishes (5), top-20 finishes (7), rounds in the 60s (8) and birdies (105).
- Posted the fourth-best freshman scoring average in school history last season (73.36).
- Exactly half of his career rounds (30-of-60) have been at even or under-par.
- Supapon Amornchaichan – Freshman; Bangkok, Thailand
- Top career placing came at the Fighting Irish Classic (T-12; +1).
- Played well in season opener, posting T-15 finish at 1-under par 215; played final two rounds in 2-under par.
- Finished in the top 50 in seven of nine events so far this year.
