WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. – The Purdue men's tennis team (9-6, 1-5 Big Ten) continues Big Ten play on the road against No. 39 Nebraska (10-6, 3-3 Big Ten) and No. 53 Wisconsin (8-6, 2-4 Big Ten). The Boilermakers take on the Huskers on Friday at 7 p.m. ET before taking on the Badgers on Sunday at 3:30 p.m. ET.

THINGS TO KNOW
  • Helping to secure the doubles point against No. 29 Michigan State, Aleksa Krivokapic and Juan David Velasquez took down No.81-ranked duo of Aristotelis Thanos and Ozan Baris 7-6 (7).
  • Heading into this weekend, Purdue has taken on a ranked opponent in six of their last seven matches.
  • Purdue has taken a 1-0 lead after doubles in three of their last four matches. Both doubles pairings of Juan David Velasquez/Aleksa Krivokapic and Henrik Villanger/Maj Premzl have six wins this season.
  • In close losses against Northwestern, No. 22 Michigan, and No. 29 Michigan State, the deciding courts have all went to tiebreak sets.
ALEKSA KRIVOKAPIC
  • Aleksa Krivokapic defeated No. 5 nationally ranked Ozan Baris of Michigan State 6-4, 6-3.
  • The win marked Krivokapic's highest ranked win of his career and the second top-12 ranked singles victory this season for the junior and the highest ranked win for a Boilermaker since 2020.
LOOKING AHEAD
  • Nebraska's Calvin Mueller is ranked No. 73 in singles in the latest ITA rankings along with doubles pairing of Lars Johann and Anton Shepp at No. 29.
  • Purdue is 8-5 against Nebraska since they joined the Big Ten in 2011 and is looking for its first win against the Huskers since 2022.
  • In last year's 4-2 win against Wisconsin, Stefan Simeunovic, Juan David Velasquez, and Henrik Villanger picked up singles win to help the Boilers pick up their first win since 2019 against the Badgers.
  • Wisconsin picked up their second Big Ten win of the season last weekend, taking down No. 69 Penn State, 4-3.
